We understand your questions and concerns following Hurricanes Helene and Milton, and have put together the following information as a guide.

Siesta Key experienced significant damage during the recent hurricanes, and our team is working hard to come back better than ever. House of the Sun will be open as of November 1, 2024 with limited amenities. Our goal is to be fully operating soon with new outdoor grounds, including a new firepit, updates to the pool, new landscaping and pavers. We can't wait to welcome you back to the place we love. The Siesta Key community needs your support more than ever, too!

 

November 1st: We had a successful opening, pool renovation is still underway and should be opening soon.  Currently, we have a temporary phone number as Frontier is still working on our lines.  941-529-0024 is our temp number until November 12th, then our main line of 941-349-4141 will be active. 

 

November 18th: Our phone lines are back up and running, please use 941-349-4141 or 800-618-6948.  Our pool is open for use, and we have started laying pavers for the northside of our property.  Unfortunately, we hit a snag with materials that has delayed our completion by a couple weeks.  The goal for completion of pavers, grills, fire pit and landscaping will be by the end of November to 1st week of December. 

 

December 18th: Our pool is open and the landscaping/lighting has been installed.  Unfortunately, the gas fire pit and gas outdoor kitchen have not been completed, as temporary solution for grills we have a charcoal grill for use until the gas line issue is worked out, and the both areas are finished being built.     

 

Please review our Cancellation Policy below to help guide your decision regarding your vacation. 

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If a cancellation occurs greater than 90 Days prior to arrival a $200 cancellation fee, will be charged.  In the event the reservation is cancelled less than 90 days prior to the arrival date, or 120 days prior to the arrival date for reservations during the high season (Feb – May), the entire rental fee deposit shall become the property of the Owner as a consideration for damages suffered by the Owner due to a lack of the rental. Provided however, if the unit is re-rented for the entire occupancy period and at the same rate, the rental deposit shall be refunded, less a $200 administrative fee. If the loss of rental is not fully covered by the new rental the Guest shall be responsible for any loss of rental. Reservations booked less than 60 days from check-in date are non-refundable. Cancellations must be received in writing.
