This is the second time we have stayed at this location within one year. The apartments are very nice and large for any number of people. Really clean, however there was a mildew smell in the unit we stayed in. The HOS is very close to restaurants and entertainment. There is a complementary trolley that transports you to key locations on the island.

Great from start to finish! Property was clean, well-equipped, friendly helpful staff, and good location. Easy to navigate Siesta from this location.

Very nice experience, needed a maintenance adjustment at arrival, but management responded quickly and we got going well. Maintenance repair person named Lee was excellent and extremely helpful and courteous.

My family has been staying at the house of sun for years. This is our favorite vacation spot on siesta key. It’s private beach, rooms are always very clean and very affordable. The location is perfect! It’s not in the crowded downtown area but has restaurants, shopping and bars across the street.

House of The Sun I has always been a joyful experience. Not keen on the new restrictions. Two lounge chairs per unit - really? It should be one per person. In addition - canopy/tent restrictions? The buildings on either side of the House of the Sun do not impose these restrictions. For the money - I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

Everything was very nice.

This was was a beautiful condo to stay in for our Winter Break & Beach Getaway! The condo was clean, fresh, organized, and beautifully decorated. There was still a good view of the ocean even if it was further away. The access to the stairs leading to the road was close by. Everything was in walking distance.

House of Sun is always a good place to stay. Although the room we stayed in looked clean & nice, there were things falling apart daily. The new patio door did not lock my entire vacation neither did the screen door. There were numerous light bulbs that I needed to replace, the floors were sticky, the master toilet ran every 10 minutes, like it was losing water. The ceiling fan in second bedroom did not work. The balcony chair legs were rusted, I had to flip them upside down and remove them out of the way and could not use them. The last day, I was putting away clean pots and the shelf inside the cabinet fell apart. It seemed like the entire condo needed some extra maintenance & repairs.

Our condo was nice, we have stayed there before. The master bedroom could use a little upgrade with the bedding. Unfortunately we had really bad red tide the entire time we were there and we weren’t able to enjoy the beautiful beach we look forward to every year. It was definitely a huge disappointment.

Only complaint - when I checked in on Monday morning (12/21), I reported a slow draining problem in the master bath sink. Was told that maintenance would be notified. When I left on 12/27, the problem had not been fixed.
