Beautiful rental, facilities were great, very clean ,very secure , wonderful beach ,will stay here again

Been coming here for 10 years for a reason...

We’ve stayed at the HOS for the past 4 years in the same unit and truly enjoyed the overall experience. The condo (#406) was well-appointed and always clean and had everything we could have needed and expected in order to make our stays truly enjoyable. If something was missing or needed, the staff in the admin office were extremely quick to act on the request (usually within 12 hours - if not sooner!). The only issue that we faced in the last 2 years was a disproportionate amount of beach chairs to guests: 2 per condo makes no sense as there may he up to 6 in a condo at any given time! A lack of a discount for longer stays is a prob.

Really enjoyed the tennis and pickle ball courts, and beautiful sunsets. Truly enjoyed the condo, but clothes dryer needed to be fixed, and patio chairs could be cleaner, or updated. Also, maybe a little picky, but trash can be a little larger in kitchen.
Loved all the decorations, but bedspread in the master bedroom could be more like Siesta Key.

It was a wonderful week. Distribution of fueniture was good. Very clean and neat. Comfortable mattresses and appreciate that it was not carpeted. We would like some small bowls, though and knives were not sharpen.
We will definitely be back.

Excellent Property

We had another great year vacationing in Florida. My kids look forward to this vacation every year and we love siesta key. We have stayed at house of the sun the past 4 out of 5 years we have been coming to siesta key. The location is perfect. Many restaurants shops and amenities within walking distance and an easy spot to get on the trolly to go to the village. We love the pool location, beach side is so nice to feel like we’re still at the beach while swimming. With young children we go back and fourth from pool and beach all day. I feel comfortable leaving the beach chairs with coolers toys and trowels while we take a swim knowing we’ll be back to the beach soon. We have choose to travel to a different location for our next years trip but we will definitely be coming back someday!

We had another great stay at House of the Sun. We love this place at Siesta Key. Room 406 was very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the patio furniture. Would have loved to have had a Keurig rather than a traditional coffee pot. Also would love to have an alarm clock with USB port.

The location was perfect on the beach. The condo was clean and had all the necessary amenities we needed. The grounds and facility was well maintained. The staff was friendly and professional from checking in to cleaning walkways, etc. it is located near restaurants, stores and bars. It meets all your needs. The beach is the best.

My whole family had the best time everything was perfect so comfortable clean and had everything..

Our family and friends affectionately referred to our condo as the house of fun. Its location is perfect being steps away from the beach as well as dining and entertainment. The staff was helpful and our condo was perfect. The space was clean and homey. We will be back.

This was a beautiful place and had a nice view. You could see the beach and water and it was nice to sit in the patio in the mornings and evenings and see the beach. The biggest downfall was that this unit did not even have the most basic essentials and we had to purchase them since we flew. We looked for salt and pepper and there was none. I looked for a pot scrubber to clean the skillet after breakfast there was nothing but a washcloth. No dish soap no dishwasher soap. Still waiting to hear from the facility as we forgot our laundry soap and softener and we are still on the key. Haven’t heard yet. I would recommend this place definitely but bring your essentials.
I know it sounds petty but when you travel by air you don’t have room to bring all these minor essentials that a place like this should at least provide.

Condo 406GS is a very comfortable Florida vacation home away from home. It would have been better if the TV was equipped with HDM1 for high density for clarity. As with our review below we were very pleased! Pat and Kathy

This unit needs new furniture. It has seen better days. The area rug is very dirty. The full mattress in the second bedroom is broken. The master bed is uncomfortable. All the dishes and utensils are mismatched, like they came from Goodwill.

Was great third year staying here only thing I was upset at was the chairs for beach we had 4 people and was only allowed 2 chairs had to pay extra 20.00 a day on top of my condo stay that I did not know about until I got there.

It was very nice. Like the big table for playing games with family.

House of the Sun is perfect. This is our staying there and we will be back. Nice and quaint, yet close to so much. Check in was easy. Check out was easy. The unit was clean. Just perfect!

Carpets are badly worn and stained, drapery is ripped, blind has been broken for years, older linens are faded, patio furniture needs replacing. And this time we had little black flies bothering us the whole time, even after 2 treatments by exterminators. We will plan to return to HOS, but not in 406 unless these issues are addressed.

We had a good experience. The unit is very comfortable. Looking at the picture of the patio, however, only one chaise lounge and two chairs remain. It would be helpful to have more seating to enjoy the view. Struggle to find chairs on the beach was quite a hassle. During the busy months the management should secure more chairs. There were almost 30 people waiting each morning at 8am for chairs to be unlocked.

The rental experience with the House Of The Sun was excellent as always! The carpet in 406GS needs cleaned or replaced, including throw rug in main entertainment area. Bed spread in master bedroom needs to be replaced. Need more coffee cups. Clocks in bedrooms not working. Deck furniture should be updated.

Condo has a nice view and is well equipped. We would be happy to return!
