Second time staying in this unit and we loved it! Very tastefully decorated, clean, and great view of the ocean. Will definitely be coming back!

My room did not meet my cleaning expectations for a rental. There was sand all over the kitchen chairs, which could have easily been swept. On the bar, the wine glasses and shelves were covered in dust, which looked like it hadn't been dusted in weeks. All the mirror doors in our room were either broke or off track. Master bedroom, the bed frame was broken, and you can tell someone previously rigged a makeshift board to help, which it didn't and mattress folded in towards middle and we were uncomfortable for the whole week! Staff didn't over money back or credit for any days, just a simple apology. I do not think I would stay here again.

House of the Sun was awesome! Even after surviving not 1 but 2 hurricanes they had everything that was possible up and running!!!
The front desk as always was courteous and helpful!!

This unit was very clean except for dishwasher which looked like it had mold at some point, the racks and the inside of the dishwasher were stained black. The shower in the main bathroom does not work. We had a great stay.

We really enjoyed House of the Sun unit 510. The unit was nicely appointed. I do have a suggestion for management. Upgrade the toilet paper and paper towels you supply to the units. They are the lowest quality you can find. Also, if you come to grab towels later than 12 you will find none available. There should always be towels available for the guests.

We had a fabulous time! The view was spectacular

This was our second year to vacation in Siesta Key and our new favorite destination! We even stayed in the same condo both times. I urge anyone to make a trip there because you will keep going back! House of the Sun is close to everything!

As far as the condo itself, it appears fine, but is tired. The bed creaks. The washer/dryer are ancient and the washer broke while we were there and was never repaired. Then we found out the dishwasher was also broken and we were never told, though they knew that bc there was a repair scheduled while we were there. I’ve been coming to HOS for almost forty years, so I feel my expectations are reasonable. Plus there was absolutely nothing provided other than bars of soap. Usually at the very least there is DW detergent and usually some misc dish soap and laundry detergent from previous tenants as well as some spices.
Add to all this the red tide, which obviously can’t be helped, but about ten feet of dead fish were left along the shoreline for almost the whole week, so even when RT wasn’t bad, the beach smelled terrible. I don’t care what infighting is taking place between the condos and the county. We pay the extra price for a condo in the beach. At the very least the dead fish could have been raked up so it could be pleasant. Other condos did it. After all these years I’m disappointed to say we may not be back.

I had an incredible stay. The apartment was clean and comfortable, right on the water. My family and I enjoyed our time there. I would definitely recommend it.

House of the Sun is a fantastic place to stay! The condo is as close to the beach as you can be, location is excellent being so close to Captain Curt's and other restaurants, and the facilities are great too. The unit we stayed in was very clean when we arrived, was fully stocked with everything we could have needed during our stay, and had a great view of the water even being on the side of the building. Would highly recommend and hope to return soon.

Beautiful beach, convenient location, friendly staff and small complex at quiet end of the key.

The access to the beach from House of the Sun is easy and convenient. The unit was comfortable and we had no problems. The unit could use a little refreshing, but overall we had everything we needed and had an enjoyable week. We loved walking across the street for ice cream at the Orange Octopus!

Everything was clean as can be, everything functioned as it was supposed too.

Absolutely loved our unit at the House of the Sun. Very clean and the beach is amazing. Walking distance to a lot of resteraunts. We will definitely be back!

Perfect location for a relaxing vacation. We have stayed at the House of the Sun for many years although we have not been there for the past 6 years. If you do not want to leave the key I suggest that you do whatever grocery shopping you need for your stay. There are restaurants that you can walk to for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Convenience store is across the street for beverages. Drug store and souvenir shopping across the street. This is the first time we have been at House of the Sun since the bars across the street have added live music. It was quite loud until about 10:30 but that was not a problem.

We loved our unit. Comfy beds and clean! The kitchen could use more utensils if you cook a lot of complex meals but nonetheless, we didn’t book for the kitchen. I suggest turning the washer /dryer the correct direction, it is difficult to do laundry sideways. That’s all, great stay! Thx!

We really enjoyed unit #510. It was up to date and had great views. HOS was fantastic as usual. The complex was very clean, in great shape and the staff was very helpful.

The owners are wanting more money and increasing rates. It is time the owners are required to update some the furnishings in the units and they all should be required to have HD TV. It is all set up all they need to do is request from management. They need to stay current if they want the higher prices as well.

We have stayed in several different condo units in House of Sun over the years. We loved the view from this unit, being closer to the beach was was well equipped, updated.Some of the decor is a bit tired and could be replaced.Its location to restaurants, grocery store and cute shops is perfect!

We come each year to House of Sun. Consistently a great place! We did notice the lower chairs for beach sitting has diminished greatly. Carpet in hall ways seems dirty-but not keeping me from returning.

We had an enjoyable 4 night stay at House of the Sun, unit #510. The location is excellent, a short distance from I-75, and a few paces to the beach. House of the Sun is as advertised, with a helpful staff, clean facilities, and within a short walk to restaurants, and shops. We will return for a future stay.

We have great time staying in House Of the Sun for many years

Great unit! I've stayed in several over the years, this was the best. My only complaint is the hall bathroom. Toilet was not totally secure to the floor and didn't flush well at all.

Kitchen pans could use replacing but everything else was lovely! Staff there is top-notch, property always kept up! We have stayed in this unit many times and will again! Other than the first day we had a great stay. Our room door wouldn't unlock after check-in. Had to wait about an hour for someone to help get us in our room. Beautiful beach with plenty of lounge chairs and regular chairs for beach use. The pool was very nice as well.
